New Zealand Secondry Schools Cross Country 2010
A huge congratulations to Hassan Roble who has been named in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country team for 2010. The team will represent NZ at the ISF World Secondary School Champioships in Slovakia, April 2010. The 6 boys selected are Mohamed Ali (Fairfield College), Sam Morreau (Auckland Grammer) Hassan Roble (Rongotai College), Jake Stamper (Middleton Grange School), Michael Sutton (Tauranga Boys' High School), Declan Wilson (Scared Heart College, Auckland).

We are currently running an athletics fundraiser, selling Rongotai Athletics t-shirts. You can order through the stationery office or through one of the boys heading to Nationals. Sizes range from boys 12 (very small) to xxl. T-shirts are only $25 and look fantastic.

It was a great weekend in Nelson and the 17 Rongotai athletes made the most of the fast track and great conditions to bring up several personal bests. Barkhad had an amazing race claiming silver in the year 9 event with a time of 9min 39 seconds over 3000m. Ciaran Ryan claimed 16th and has gone from strength to strength this year.
The Junior event again produced several PB's with Matt Emery, Andy Hodren and Seb Ninness being the first RC boys accross the line.
Hassan Roble, Justin Moss and Ramon Telfer were our senior runners who performed exceptionally well. If you are keen to see Hassan doing his thing, Ramon giving it his all or any of the boys, check out the Nationals 2009 video clips above.
